Agora Partnerships Celebrates First Annual Community Weekend In Nicaragua

Last month Agora Partnerships welcomed business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs to its first annual community weekend. The long weekend was an opportunity to introduce the Agora community to the projects and businesses Agora supports. Agora Partnerships co-founder, Ben Powell, noted that “the weekend was a great chance to show people what it means to support entrepreneurs on the front line of poverty, that are overcoming difficult challenges everyday to make a real impact in their community.”

In addition to meeting some of Agora’s entrepreneurs, visitors were able to participate in a focus group on the needs of woman owned small businesses. The project, which is an extension of Agora’s efforts to create a community among women entrepreneurs, was kicked off with a keynote speech given by Maria Rivas, Nicaragua’s Former Minister of Tourism.
